Maruti Suzuki Swift BS6 launched, price starts at 5.14 lakhs.

Maruti Suzuki India has launched the BS-VI (BS6) compliant Swift petrol. The gasoline and diesel trims of the premium hatchback also conform with the "AIS-145 Safety Norms". With the new developments, Swift now has a starting price of Rs 5.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Suzuki Swift is powered by a 4-cylinder, 1.2-litre, BSVI-compliant, petrol engine that makes 83 hp and 113 Nm of peak torque. It is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox, with an option for a 5-speed AT. The diesel mill has not been upgraded and it complies with BSIV (BS4) emission norms only. It is a 4-cylinder, 1.3-litre motor that produces 75 hp and 190 Nm of torque and is mated to both 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional 5-speed AT.

TVS Motor comapany launched its first ethanol powered version bike in india Apache RTR 200 at RS 1.2 lakhs. Initially it is launched in states Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka. The TVS Apache RTR 200 Ethanol gets an E100 200 cc single-cylinder engine . Company claims that top speed of this bike is 129 kmph. The ethanol powered Apache gets electronic fuel injection with twin-spray-twin-port system that ensures better power delivery while burning cleaner and emitting up to 50 per cent less Benzene and Butadiene gases. Using Ethanol as a fuel reduces the emission of Carbon Monoxide by up to 30 per cent. Ethanol which is manufactured from plant residue such as sugarcane molasses and sorghum and is significantly cleaner than fossil fuels. There is also a reduction in nitrogen oxide, particulate matter, carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide.

TVS Apache RR 310 launched at Rs 2.27 lakhs; with slipper clutch tech

TVS Motor Company first launched the Apache RR 310 in December 2017. The 2019 Apache has been launched now and it gets something extra to make it even better. the bike gets a slightly updated graphics and a new colour scheme – Phantom Black. But other than that, nothing changes. The engine too remains the same reverse inclined 312.2cc unit churning out maximum power of 34 PS at 9,700 rpm and 27.3 Nm of peak torque at 7,700 rpm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. the new bike is a Race Tuned Slipper Clutch, as TVS calls it. This will make lever pull lighter and offer smoother gear changes while downshifting. Everything else remains the same. You get the vertical instrument cluster, Bi-LED twin projector headlamp and Michelin Street Sport tyres.
